<p><a href="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/fmcb-main.jpg"><img src="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/fmcb-main-300x200.jpg" alt="fmcb-main" title="fmcb-main" width="300" height="200" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-388" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/argon-radio-stations.jpg"><img src="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/argon-radio-stations-300x225.jpg" alt="argon-radio-stations" title="argon-radio-stations" width="300" height="225" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-386" /></a></p>
<p><span id="more-384"></span><br />
<strong>Installation</strong><br />
In order to use homebrew software, you must have ELF loader. There is some loaders available, the best you can have is to install Free MC Boot, once installed on your memory card, it loads automatically when you start your Playstation 2.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/fmcb-install.jpg"><img src="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/fmcb-install-300x200.jpg" alt="fmcb-install" title="fmcb-install" width="300" height="200" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-389" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Free MC Boot Installation</strong><br />
Here is a great tutorial how to install Free MC Boot: <a href="http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/FMCBv1.8_for_dummies.html">FMCB 1.8 for dummies</a>. Or you can see other tutorials: <a href="http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/">Tutorials On sksapps.com</a>. Download Free MC Boot installation package <a href="http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/FMCBv1.8/Noobie_Package.rar">here</a>, it includes uLaunchElf application, needed to copy the argon files.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/fmcb-success.jpg"><img src="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/fmcb-success-300x200.jpg" alt="fmcb-success" title="fmcb-success" width="300" height="200" class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-390" /></a></p>
<p><strong>Argon Installation</strong><br />
Before you can use Argon, you need to copy the files to FreeMcBoot apps folder. Download the argon installation package from <a href="http://sourceforge.net/projects/argon-ps2/">Argon Official Site</a>. Extract the files and copy to memory stick with computer. Start your playstation, run uLaunchElf, copy all the files without folder to MC0:/BOOT. Now exit the uLaunchElf and configure FreeMcBoot menu to show Argon software in it.</p>

<li>Hard Drives (both the Official Sony HDD and any normal PC HDD)</li>
<li>CD/DVD-ROM (and NO modchip required!)</li>
<li>SMS can even read DVD-RW discs specially formatted with the DVD-Video filesystem, or CD-R Discs formatted with CDDAFS.</li>
</ul>
<p><span id="more-65"></span></p>
<p><strong>Installation</strong><br />
You can install SMS Media Player using these methods:</p>
<ul>
<li>Using your memory card (<a href="http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/freevast/58292-official-free-mc-boot-releases.html">Freevast MC Boot</a>)<br />
1. Download Freevast MC Boot<br />
2. Download SMS Media Player<br />
3. Include SMS Media Player to MC Boot<br />
4. Burn it to CD<br />
5. Install on PlayStation</li>
<li>Using a bootable SMS CDR (Modchip needed)<br />
1. Download CD ISO<br />
2. Burn it to CDR<br />
3. Run it on PlayStation</li>
<li>Using a bootable SMS DVDR (Modchip needed)<br />
1. Download DVD ISO<br />
2. Burn it to DVD<br />
3. Run it on PlayStation</li>
</ul>
<p>Note you can also burn the media files to SMS Media CD/DVD.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/screen7.jpg"><img src="http://blog.fullyreloaded.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/screen7-300x240.jpg" alt="" title="screen7" width="300" height="240" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-68" /></a></p>
<p>To stream media files from PC:</p>
<ul>
<li>Using RadHostClient<br />
1. You need to download <a href="http://sksapps.com/index.php?page=media.html">RadHostClient</a><br />
2. Run it on PC<br />
3. Specify your Playstation IP Address<br />
4. Specify media folder to make it available on your PlayStation by dragging it into RadHostClient.<br />
5. Run SMS Media Player on Playstation 2<br />
6. Press Start >> Device Settings >> Network Settings >> Edit IPCONFIG.DAT >> Specify your PS2 IP Address defined in RadHostClient on your PC >> Save/Update<br />
7. Return to device settings menu, choose Start network support<br />
8. Don&#8217;t forget to save settings</li>
<li>Using Shared Folder on Windows<br />
1. Choose a folder to make available for Playstation 2, you can navigate through subfolders within your Playstation<br />
2. Open notepad in Windows, enter the following:<br />
<code><br />
[ip address of the SMB server (computer sharing the files)]<br />
        [name of the SMB server]<br />
        [name of the PS2 (any name will do)]<br />
        [username (optional)]<br />
        [password (optional)]<br />
</code></p>
<p>for example:<br />
<code><br />
192.168.2.20<br />
MyFolder<br />
Playstation2<br />
</code></p>
<p>3. Save the file as SMS.smb. Note that you will probably have to type the &#8221; marks into the SaveAs box in notepad, i.e. &#8220;SMS.smb&#8221;. Just typing SMS.smb will probably give you a file called SMS.smb.txt (although windows will hide the .txt) which is not what you need.<br />
4. You must copy the SMS.smb file to SMS Media Player folder on the MemoryCard. Read <a href="http://home.casema.nl/eugene_plotnikov/en/usage-network.html#usage-network-smb-sms_usage">User Manual</a> for details.</li>
</ul>
<p>Note you can choose Autostart network, so it automatically detect network device</p>
